Congratulations to Danielle Davidson for being the recipient of the Helen R. Walton Excellence in Community Leadership Award from Walmart! The Helen R. Walton Award is given to a Walmart employee for demonstrations of leadership, community service and volunteer work in their community. The recipient of the award is given $1,000 to give to charities of their choosing. Currently, she has given half to Midwest Old Threshers and plans to donate the other half to the newly created FFA program at Mt. Pleasant Community School District.
In order to win the award, Davidson had to be nominated by one of her peers on a store level. Store Mount Pleasant Store Manager Chad Sloat was the first to know Davidson had one. “I’m very proud of Danielle for all she does within our community and how she continually is so selfless with her time. Even though she is a great associate and representative of our company values, she’s an even better person! I think it’s wonderful that such a prestigious award from our company was given locally to such a deserving person as Danielle and to such a deserving community as Mount Pleasant!”
We are excited this award was presented to our town and Danielle is more than deserving of it. Congratulations!
