Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce - Community

All Chamber Members are welcome to join us for our September networking activity on Wednesday, September 8th from 5:00 to 7:00pm. This month's activity is hosted by Hospice of Central Iowa at a location TBA. All current Chamber Members and businesses interested in joining the Chamber of Commerce are welcome to join us! The first forty minutes are spent networking, with a 15 to 20 minute program following including upcoming events, New Member welcomes, first time attendees, announcements from the floor, and door prizes. Please join us! Alive After Five takes place on the first Wednesday of each month.

Help us Celebrate National Assisted Living Week (Tuesday, September 14)

FREE Lunch @ 12:00, entertainment by famous opera singer Thomas Booth @ 1:00pm and Community Bingo sponsored by Hospice of Central Iowa @ 3:00pm. Be sure to come and join the afternoon of fun!

Triple Sporting Event (Saturday, September 18)

The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce teams up with KILJ Radio and snages a triple sporting event! A DAY and NIGHT of Big-Time athletics! Take a trip to Kansas City and experience both a BIG 12 College FB game ( ISU Cyclones vs. Kansas State Wildcats) and a major league baseball game (KC Royals vs. Cleveland Indians)! On the bus ride home, watch the Hawkeye/Arizona game via satellite TV. All for only $89!

Democratic Fall Harvest Rally and Fund Raiser (Saturday, September 25)

A picnic and live music with appearances by local, state, and federal candidates. Invitations have been sent to Rep. Dave Loebsack, Gov. Chet Culver, Sen. Tom Harkin, and Secy. of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, $4 for 15 to 5 yrs., and free for children under 4.
